<<<<< The Beach is THAT Way! ( Honest... )

The restaurant is currently owned and
managed
by the original founders' grandson, Chad Stevens.  Sambo's continues the family tradition established by Chad's grandfather nearly 50 years ago of great food at a great price!

And just for fun -
we throw in a terrific view of the Pacific Ocean, the nearby wharf and the Channel Islands!

So when you are in the neighborhood, take a moment to step back in time, enjoy the view from the patio or inside from any of the spacious bay windows and be prepared to fill up, because the portions are very generous as well as being delicious.
We are open 7 days a week serving a Hearty Breakfast including our famous
Sambo's Pancakes (
bet you can't eat one hundred and sixty nine! ) complete
with Sambo's special Tiger Butter and rich, thick syrup or if you prefer -
sample one of our very tasty Lunch specialties!  Simply click the 'Menu'
link (to the left)
to see what we have in store for you!

Like Sambo's, this website has a little something for everyone - for the youngest
Tiger-Tamers
we have an online coloring book and activities.  For the very
young at heart who may have a special memory or thought about the Sambo's
Restaurant
chain
when they could be found across this great land of ours -

We are even entertaining the thought of offering additional locations if we find
there is enough of a demand.

Coloring Book, Games and Puzzles!

Memorabilia Available for Purchase

We have a community posting board where you can share your stories and perhaps
find something about one of the many restaurants that dotted our landscape or a former co-worker.

We also share a piece of the history of Sambo's through a few photographs along
with the story of "Little Black Sambo" written in 1899 by Helen Bannerman, as seen
when it was published in 1921, and the association this children's story had with the restaurant chain.

You can share this story with your children online as an interactive book where you turn the pages complete with illustrations ( as published in 1921 ) and listen to the narrative ( Broadband / Hi-Speed connection recommended ) Click the link to the
left, just below the book, to hear a sample.

For those of you looking for a keepsake or two as it relates to Sambo's and you can't make it to beautiful Santa Barbara, we offer a few items of select memorabilia and souvenirs available for purchase, that can be viewed and reserved in your name online - just take a walk into the 'Souvenir Jungle' for our current offerings.

Have a comment regarding your visit with us? or just need directions? Select
the 'Directions' link
and everything you need is right there.

From our family to yours... Welcome - we look forward to serving you!
